Vintage Oaks Celebrates Groundbreaking of Community Vineyard & their 500th Buyer
|
More than 100 people, including ambassadors from both the New Braunfels and Bulverde-Spring Branch Chambers and dozens of excited landowners and buyers, gathered at Vintage Oaks at the Vineyard, a Bluegreen Community®, on Saturday, April 10, as the community celebrated both the groundbreaking of an on-site community vineyard and a wine tasting event. Vintage Oaks, which recently celebrated its 500 th buyer and is in the midst of a “Fabulous 500” promotion that will include special pricing and homesite offering over the next several months, has planned the new vineyard as a home for the Black Spanish Grape.
A port wine will be produced in conjunction with Dry Comal Creek Vineyards & Winery from the grape.
The day’s festivities included a “Taste and Teach” session.
During which Franklin Houser, owner of Dry Comal Creek Vineyards, discussed the history of the Black Spanish Grape, the process of planting and growing the vineyard and making the port. Also of great interest to owners and buyers was the development and construction process of the vineyard, which was outlined by Jon Van De Voorde, VP of Development for Bluegreen Communities.
Guests also enjoyed wine tastings from Dry Comal Creek Vineyards and hors d’oeuvres from Well Seasoned Catering Services.
500th Buyer at Vintage Oaks
Vintage Oaks’ 500th sale last April—a feat which has since been surpassed with 10 sales so far in April—is undoubtedly a direct reflection of the combination of excellent New Braunfels location, desirable amenities, and superior lifestyle offerings for which the community has long been known. The community opened in October of 2006, and has seen steady success with its unique vineyard lifestyle, prime location close to San Antonio, and excellent school system, as well as the flexibility of buying a homesite and selecting a builder of choice without any time restrictions on building.
