2009 Petit Verdot.  $16.99

Petit Verdot, means 'small green' and as a grape varietal is principally used in classic Bordeaux blends.  It ripens much later than the other varieties in Bordeaux, often too late, so it fell out of favor in its home region. When it does ripen, it is added in small amounts to add tannin, color and flavor to the blend. It has attracted attention among winemakers in the New World, where it ripens more reliably and is made into single varietal wine.

Hints of raspberry and tobacco with a long finish of black licorice are the hallmarks of this wine. We welcome Petite Verdot as a unique and hidden gem to add to your personal wine cellar.

2008  Unoaked Cabernet Sauvignon. $16.99.

Another unique wine made only by us - this Cabernet arrived to be used as a blending wine. Upon sampling, it simply blew us away. We felt that oak would not improve this wine but rather ruin it…therefore, we bottled as is – “unoaked’ . The wine is rich and fruity, has a great mouth feel with smoothness and low tannins.

People who don’t like red wines buy this wine, but so do people who are red wine drinkers. You won’t believe this in your mouth. A great ‘Texas Style® ” wine.

2011 Black Spanish. $32.99.

The only wine made entirely of a Texas native grape, it has deep garnet hue with floral and tobacco aromas. The wine is medium bodied with a creamy middle palate that boasts nutmeg, cinnamon, dried fruit and almond. The finish is soft and more acidic that most red wines, thus making it very versatile with an array of foods. This wine is a consistent award winner.
